Doing nothing is the easiest thing to do. Ultimately, I wanted to showcase that even in the most difficult circumstances, people always have a choice: flee or fight. ![]() I wanted to portray somebody who suddenly has her world turned upside down, finds herself alone and with a country that has turned against her, simply because of her racial origin. Women had been fighting their own battles on the home front during the war, and in some parts of the world, like in Italy, the war came knocking directly on the door. What was your inspiration for Cordelia's character?ĬL: I wanted to portray a woman as a central character, for a start.
